Dried prawns fry/Royya pappu vepudu/yendu royyala vepudu


This is a basic variety of dried prawns fry.

Ingredients:

Royya pappu / Dried prawns-1 cup cleaned
Onion-1 medium,chopped lengthwise
Green Chilis-3,slit lengthwise
Oil-3 to 4 tbsp
Curry leaves -few
Turmeric powder-1/4 tea spoon
Red chilli Powder-1 tbsp or less
Salt-to taste

 Preparation:

Soak the prawns for at least 40 minutes to 1 hour.
Drain the water and take the prawns in to a blender and pulse it without adding anymore water ( better to be more coarse).
Take a pan and heat the oil put the pulsed prawns and start stirring.
After stirring a while(may be 2 minutes) add the  chopped onions,green chilis,curry leaves.
Add salt and close with a lid and reduce the flame to medium low.
Stir frequently.
After you feel it is cooked and fried then add turmeric powder,chili powder.
Garnish with coriander.
